Welcome
The President Mr Dowling introduced himself, welcomed everyone to the meeting
and thanked them for attending. He gave a brief introduction to those present
about the association, how and why it was originally formed, and introduced the committee
members to the meeting. He also thanked the members of the committee for their
work over the past year. He also advised we record the meeting for the purpose of
minute taking.

Quorum
The President determined and announced that a quorum (five) was present and
the meeting was duly constituted.

Previous Minutes
Mr Dowling proposed that we accept the minutes of the previous AGM, seconded Mr
Shepherd, carried.

Public Liability Insurance
Mr Dowling advised our requirements and current status (no insurance) and that we
are required to annually review our insurance options. We have decided not to take up
such insurance at this time.

Finance
Mr Dewson advised we had $1817.38 at the end of the financial year and no liabilities.
The records were made available for members to inspect. Neville Dowling proposed
and Paul Blake seconded that we accept the financial report, carried.

Committee
Mr Dowling then declared all committee positions vacant, advised that the
existing committee Neville Dowling, Paul Blake Heath Dewson and David Shepherd, had all
renominated, those nominations have been posted at this location for the past seven
days as required by the Act. Mr Dowling then asked for a vote to accept the nominees,
all in favor no dissenters, carried. Mr Dowling then invited anyone with an interest in
being on the committee to let us know as we can appoint new members to the committee.

Other Business
1. Mr Dowling advised of a list of items we have been involved in, improving our NBN,
upgrade to playground equipment, Telstra pit with asbestos and bulk mulch orders. Mr
Dowling thanked Fern Fisher for her persistence with NBN together with lobbying from
the NFCA Inc that has resulted in the new MicroNode in Trentbridge Court which has
greatly improved NBN services for properties beyond the new facility.

2. Question from the floor regarding our fire risk. We all understand we are in a high
fire risk area and need to have a fire safety plan in place, the last fuel reduction burn in
this estate was October 2012. We will need to talk to Peter Young about organising
another community activities in the park and inviting the fire-es along. There was
discussion about only having one entrance/exit to the estate and the possibility of
gaining access to Nathan Valley Road through a private property in case of emergency.

3. Mary Jordan asked if there was any etiquette regarding noise such as mowing lawns
early or late. She was advised only council rules apply.
City Of Gold Coast rules are..

Regulated devices include power tools, compressors, generators, impacting tools, such as
hammers and nail guns, and equipment such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, chain saws, drills,
sanders and the like.
On-the-spot fines may be issued if noise can be clearly heard at premises between the following hours:
7pm and 7am on a business day or Saturday
7pm and 8am on any other day.

4. John Davenport asked about the poor mobile phone coverage. Mr Dowling advised
that he and Paul Blake had attended a meeting with NBN and our federal member
Scott Buchholz at Beaudesert, they indicated that there is a pool of money to fix black
spots such as ours however sourcing a location for the tower and finding a commercial
supplier willing to do the work (Telstra/Optus) is the problem. John asked if we could
follow up, Mr dowling advised we would when next we meet with him.

5. There was discussion about cars going the wrong way on the split part of
Trentbridge Court, the committee agreed to discuss with Peter Young about one way,
keep left and speed zone signs.

6. John Davenport asked about the derelict car on the nature strip. He was advised
that although the car is outside the property fence it is still inside the property
boundary so there is nothing anyone can do.

7. Sharynne Freebody asked about posting to facebook and timely response. Anyone
can post to the facebook page but it goes to the visitor area, always remember to look
at posts to see any posts from visitors. We would welcome any assistance with
facebook from people with appropriate skills/knowledge. Mr Dowling thanked Jan for
all her time and work with facebook.

8. Fern Fisher has some suggestions for a letterbox drop and would like to assist with
the development of one. Secretary will contact Fern.

Next AGM Date and time to be determined and advised. Expect October/November next.
